With Logiwa IO, you can generate batch labels when packing shipments at the packing station. This ensures efficient labeling of multiple items in one go, streamlining the packing process and reducing errors in warehouse management software. This guide will walk you through the process. First, you'll need to confirm a specific parameter is disabled for your clients that will use batch labeling. Then, it's easy to use this feature with orders that match the requirements.
Disable Client Parameter
The client parameter that should be disabled (set to false) in order to generate batch labels is the Disable batch order packing parameter.
This parameters is generally disabled by default, but it can be helpful to confirm it's disabled before proceeding. Follow these steps to find this parameter and confirm it's disabled:
Navigate to the Client screen.
Select the 3-Dot menu next to the client you wish to edit, then choose Edit.
Click on the Settings tab and confirm that Disable batch order packing is disabled, as shown in the screenshot below. If it is enabled, this function cannot be used.
If any changes were made, click Save to record them.
Creating Batch Labels
When batch labels have been activated for use during packing, they will become available for orders that contain the same SKU and quantity multiple times or when there are multiple identical orders.
To use this feature, follow the standard packing process. Simply scan a tote, location, or order that meet the requirements for batch label creation.
After putting in the necessary information for shipping such as address, carrier preferences, etc. select the Complete & Print button.
Please note, if you have Pack Without Label chosen under Other Actions, you will not receive the option to batch print for that order.
If the criteria for printing batch labels is met, the Print Batch Label pop-up will open. Here, you can see the job's unique identifier and the order quantity.
If you do not wish to see this message again for this order, select Do not show this again.
To cancel, click No. To proceed with printing, select Yes.
After loading, the Label(s) Created pop-up will open. If your system is not connected to a printer, you may receive an error message. Printing will be attempted automatically if this option is set for your account.
If errors occur, please use the alternative Print Label, Preview, or Download Label options to access your labels in another form.
You will be able to view the total quantity of orders that had labels created and were marked packed successfully on the left side of the screen. You can also reprint labels with the Reprint Label button.
