You may need to cancel a purchase order due to invalid information, a mistake during creation, or a number of other reasons. With just a few clicks, you can cancel a purchase order, as long as it is still in the Pending status.
First, navigate to the Purchase Orders screen.
If you cannot find the screen, please use the Search Option on the menu bar.
Choose a purchase order or orders with the Pending status.
Select Cancel Order.
A pop-up asking if you want to cancel the selected order or orders will be displayed.
Keep in mind that after cancelling an order, you cannot update it anymore.
Click Yes to proceed.
You will receive a confirmation message if the order was successfully cancelled.
You can also check if the order was cancelled from the table.
Alternatively, you can view/edit a specific purchase order with the Pending status and directly click the Cancel Order button in the upper right corner.
A pop-up asking if you want to cancel the order will be displayed. Click on Yes to proceed.
You can now see if the order status has changed to Cancelled from Pending.
