In some situations, you may want to cancel an order but not remove the record from the system. This can be achieved by using the Cancel option rather than the Delete option. If you wish to delete an order, please see this article.
This function can only be used when orders are in the Open status; otherwise, they cannot be cancelled or deleted. To learn more about shipment statuses, see this article.
Step-by-Step Guide
First, navigate to the Shipment Order screen.
If you have trouble locating this screen, please use the Search option on the menu bar.
Select the box next to the order or orders you wish to cancel. Reminder that orders must be in the Open status to be cancelled.
Next, click Warehouse Ops and select Cancel Order from the available options.
You will be asked to confirm this action. You can check the Order Code, Order Status, and Order Date of the selected order(s) before you click Yes to proceed.
Once the orders have been successfully cancelled, you will receive a confirmation message.
From the Shipment Order screen, you can see that the order status has been changed to Cancelled.
Individual orders can also be cancelled from within the shipment order details, using the Actions button.
