Shipment packages are physical containers used for transporting goods during the shipping process. In this article, we will discuss how to create and utilize shipment packages in Logiwa. With Logiwa, you can create different types of shipment packages, track package inventory levels, and easily access desired packages.
What are Shipment Packages?
Shipment packages are boxes, crates, or other types of packaging used to transport goods during the shipping process. They are designed to protect the goods from damage during transportation and may include materials such as cushioning, wrapping, or strapping to keep the contents secure. They vary in size, shape, and material depending on the type of goods being shipped and the method of transportation.
LogiwaIo enables you to create shipment packages for shipping orders. Additionally, the system can assist with tracking shipment package inventory levels, to help you monitor what you need to keep your operations running smoothly.

If you do not wish to track shipment package inventory, leave the toggle set to NO. Click Finish if you do not wish to use this feature. That will complete your shipment package creation.
If you do wish to use this feature, select YES. Switching the Enable Inventory Tracking toggle to YES reveals the fields that must be filled in to complete this process.
Field | Description |
Inventory Owner |
|
Inventory Tracking Method (Matched SKU) |
|
Inventory Reduction Location |
|
Regarding inventory reduction location, please note the following information:
The inventory tracking feature allows users to track the total inventory of a shipment package at the selected warehouse.
In order to properly track the package inventory, the package should have an inventory at the desired location.
If the package has 0 inventory at the desired location (inventory reduction location) this does not prevent the usage of this package at the packing station. However, the inventory level of this package will no longer be trackable until the inventory level of this package is bigger than 0.
All transfer operations that are allowed for product SKUs are also doable for shipment packages with inventory tracking.
The inventory of the shipment packages can be followed on the Inventory screen, the same as other product SKUs.
Once you've made the necessary selections, click Finish to complete you shipment package creation. A confirmation message will appear if the shipment package was created successfully.
