Understanding Credit Use with Bonterra Que
Overview
Bonterra Que is your AI-powered fundraising assistant embedded directly into Network for Good.
Starting February 1, 2026, Que's features, including personalized coaching, donor segmentation, and donor stewardship, will move to a credit-based model for all users who have not upgraded to the Que Intelligence package.
This article explains what types of actions consume credits and what high-value usage looks like. Que’s goal is to help you raise more with less effort, while keeping you in control of your time, budget, and outcomes.
Important: All users will continue to have access to Que through their existing platform, and all interactions consume credits. Credits reset monthly and are measured per user, giving each team member their own usage allowance.
What are credits in Que?
Credits are how usage of Que is measured. Each user receives a set amount of credits each month, which are applied when a Que skill completes work for you, such as creating a donor segment or drafting stewardship. You can see how many credits you have remaining and when they reset with EveryAction. Credits do not roll over, but they reset at the beginning of each month. If you use all of your credits for the month, you can continue using Que when credits reset the following month, or upgrade to the Que Intelligence for full access.
Example Use Cases and Relative Credit Use
Below are some typical examples of how organizations are using Que today. Each scenario is annotated to help you understand if that usage might be low, moderate, or high in terms of credit draw.
Planning a Campaign with Coaching Only
A user explores Giving Tuesday opportunities through Que, asks for recommendations and donor trends, but doesn’t generate an asset.
Que Actions: Personlized coaching
Relative Credit Use: Low
Why: Coaching alone does not require asset creation
Launching a Monthly Giving Upgrade Campaign
An executive director requests a list of small-dollar donors who have given recently and are likely to become recurring givers and asks Que to generate a stewardship appeal.
Que actions: Donor segmentation + Donor stewardship
Relative credit use: Moderate
Why: Two skills used, including asset creation
Transition Timeline
