One of the most common ways to personalize a direct mailing is to include your organization's branding on a visible template, like a letterhead. To add a letterhead to a 'Direct Mail' communication drafted in 'Donor Management', follow the steps below!
Step 1: Create your letterhead
When setting up a letterhead for a direct mailing, it must be set up as a .png file.
The easiest way to do this is to first create your letterhead in a word processing program such as Microsoft Word.
Once you are satisfied with the appearance of your letterhead, save the file as a .pdf file - NOT a .doc or .word. file.
Step 2: Convert your file
Next, convert your .pdf file into a .png file. There are many free-to-use, reliable file type converters available online - we recommend searching for ".pdf to .png converter.โ
Once you have converted your file type, you should have an accessible .png file that fits the necessary dimensions for a letter (8.5 x 11 inches).
Step 3: Save your file and print
You will want to make sure your file has been saved to your device so you can upload that file during the 'Setup' step of building a direct mailing.
In the 'Letterhead/Stationery Image' section, you can click 'Browse' and select the letterhead you would like to include.
If you would like to add this letterhead to an existing direct mailing to reuse or re-send, click the 'Communications' tab in the left-hand navigation, select 'Direct Mail', and then select 'Setup Options' from the dropdown options available.
You will be returned to the initial 'Setup' step mentioned previously, and can add your letterhead from there!
