How To Rotate An Image That Appears Sideways After Uploading
Updated over a week ago

Have you ever tried to upload the perfect photo to use on your newly-created Fundraising Page, or to add that perfect touch to an Email Blast – only to have the photo appear sideways once uploaded?

Not to worry – there's an easy way to fix that and "rotate" your photo so it displays correctly!

When pictures are taken with a camera, "meta data", or encoded data within the image file itself, is stored along with that picture. This meta data often includes information on the original orientation (or positioning) of that picture. In other words, the meta data "tells" the system how to display the photo.

If your picture isn't displaying properly, you can use the following steps to "correct" the photo:

  • Open up that image in an image editing tool, like "Paint."

  • Edit the rotation of the image, so it's reflecting the way you'd like it to display.

  • Save the edits that you made as a brand new image file.

If you're looking to use this image on a Fundraising Page, you should now be able to upload that brand-new image file you just created and it'll reflect with the correct orientation.

If you're looking to use this image in an Email Blast, you can now upload that brand-new image file to your Image Gallery in the Email Builder, and the image should reflect with the correct orientation in the Email Gallery moving forward.
