Updated Reporting Tools on Event Sponsorship within Donor Management

We've added the ability to allow users to filter on total sponsorship amounts within Donor Management, and export that information within your reports.

This change will let you clearly see which of your contacts have sponsored your organization's events, and more easily report on all sponsorship transactions.

We've also made changes so that sponsorship-related transactions are now reflected within a contact's "donor status", meaning that if a donor purchases a sponsorship, they'll now be considered an "active" donor in Donor Management. (We've also updated historic sponsorship transactions retroactively, so prior sponsorship purchases within the last 365 days also will result in an "active" donor status.)

Additional Visibility into Expired Payment Methods through Bonterra Payments

Customers using Bonterra Payments as a payment processor now have additional clarity into when a recurring donor's credit card may expire - or has recently expired.

We've added warnings directly on the "Giving" tab - as well as on donor profiles - to let you know when a donor's credit card is about to expire, or has recently expired.

This gives you the opportunity to reach out to those donors and update their card information in advance of that upcoming expiration date.

Authentication Required to Send Email Blasts

As of July 2024, Donor Management does not allow for users to send email blasts from domains that have not been authenticated. Sending an email blast from a domain that isn't authenticated can result in high bounce rates - and even negatively impact the reputation of our IP addresses - which is why this change was deemed necessary.

When sending an email blast, when users are on the "Recipient" step, they will be required to select a "sender" with a domain that has been authenticated - and will no longer be able to select a "sender" without an authenticated domain.

Instead, the default "mail@networkforgood.com" sender will be selected, and a short explanation as to why the custom "senders" cannot be selected will be displayed next to the "sender" field.
