If something ever feels off with your card — a payment you don't recognise, card details you may have exposed, or you just want it paused — you can lock it down yourself, instantly, from the app.
How to freeze your card
Open the nsave app and go to the Cards tab.
Tap the three dots (⋯) at the top right of the screen.
Toggle the Freeze card option on.
The freeze takes effect immediately. New payments, online purchases and wallet transactions will all be declined while the card is frozen.
Unfreezing works exactly the same way — go back to the three dots and toggle Freeze card off. You can freeze and unfreeze as many times as you like, for free.
Freezing your card does not affect your nsave account. Your balance and everything else in the app keep working as normal — only card payments are paused.
If you think your card is compromised
Your nsave card is virtual, so it can't fall out of a pocket — but card details can still be exposed: a screenshot shared by mistake, a data leak at a merchant, or someone getting access to your phone.
If you see a transaction you don't recognise, or have any reason to think someone else has your card details:
Freeze the card immediately — Cards tab → three dots (⋯) → toggle Freeze card. This stops any further spending on the spot.
Contact us as soon as possible — message us in the app or email support@nsave.com. The sooner you tell us, the more we can do.
Our team will help you secure the card, review what happened, and arrange a replacement card if needed.
Things to know while your card is frozen
Subscriptions and recurring payments will be declined while the card is frozen. If you rely on the card for a subscription, unfreeze before the billing date or expect the merchant to retry.
Refunds can still arrive on a frozen card.
Your card balance stays put — freezing doesn't move or lock your money.
FAQs
Does freezing cost anything?
No. Freeze and unfreeze are free and unlimited.
How fast does the freeze work?
Instantly. A payment attempted a second after you freeze will be declined.
Someone used my card. Will I get my money back?
Freeze the card and contact support right away. Our team will review the transactions with you and take it from there — the earlier you report it, the better.
Can nsave freeze my card for me?
Yes — if you can't access the app for any reason, contact support and we'll freeze it for you.
