How to add your nsave card to Apple Pay or Google Pay

Add your nsave card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet by entering your card details manually. Adding it directly from the app is coming very soon.

Your nsave card works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, so you can tap to pay with your phone or watch anywhere contactless payments are accepted.

For now, you add the card by entering your card details manually in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Adding your card with a single tap from inside the nsave app is coming very soon.

Step 1 — Get your card details from the nsave app

Your nsave card is virtual, so your card details live in the app:

  1. Open the nsave app and go to the Cards tab.

  2. Select your card.

  3. Reveal your card number, expiry date and CVV.

Keep this screen open — you'll need to type these into your wallet in the next step.

Never share these details with anyone. nsave will never ask you for your CVV or full card number in a chat, call or email.

Step 2 (iPhone) — Add to Apple Wallet

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the + button in the top-right corner.

  3. Tap Debit or Credit Card, then Continue.

  4. Tap Enter Card Details Manually (instead of using the camera — it can't scan a virtual card).

  5. Enter your name, card number, expiry date and CVV from the nsave app.

  6. Accept the terms and complete any verification step shown.

To also use the card on your Apple Watch, open the Watch app → Wallet & Apple PayAdd Card.

You'll need a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID set up, and to be signed in to iCloud — Apple Wallet requires these.

Step 2 (Android) — Add to Google Wallet

  1. Open the Google Wallet app.

  2. Tap Add to Wallet.

  3. Tap Payment card, then New credit or debit card.

  4. Enter your card number, expiry date and CVV from the nsave app.

  5. Enter your billing address if prompted — use the address on your nsave account.

  6. Accept the terms and complete any verification step shown.

Your phone needs a screen lock enabled and NFC turned on for tap to pay.

If you're asked to verify the card

Apple or Google may ask you to confirm the card belongs to you. If a verification code is sent, it goes to the phone number or email on your nsave account. Enter it to finish setup.

If no code arrives, check that your contact details in the app are up to date, then try again.

If the card won't add

Work through these in order:

  1. Check Apple Pay or Google Pay is available where you are. Neither is available in every country, and if it hasn't launched in your country your wallet will refuse every card. See Why can't I add my nsave card to Apple Pay?

  2. Re-check the details. A single wrong digit in the card number or CVV causes a generic failure.

  3. Update your phone and your Wallet app to the latest version.

  4. Turn off any VPN or proxy and try again.

  5. Restart your phone.

  6. Android only: make sure your device isn't rooted and has a locked bootloader — Google blocks cards on devices that fail its security check. See Having issues adding your card to Google Wallet?

FAQs

Why do I have to type the details in myself?

One-tap adding from inside the nsave app is built and in final testing. Until it's switched on, manual entry gets you to exactly the same result — a fully working card in your wallet.

Is manually adding the card less secure?

No. However the card is added, your wallet stores a device-specific token rather than your real card number, and merchants never see your actual card details.

Will I have to re-add the card when one-tap adding launches?

No. A card you've already added will keep working.

Can I add the card to more than one device?

Yes — you can add the same card to your phone, watch and tablet.

Do I still see transactions in the nsave app?

Yes. Payments made with Apple Pay or Google Pay appear in your nsave transaction list like any other card payment.

What if I freeze or replace my card?

Freezing the card in the app also stops wallet payments. If your card is replaced, add the new card details to your wallet and remove the old one.
