Understanding proof of address documents

A proof of address in your name which is not an identity document and is less than 3 months old is required to open your nsave account and meet requirements.

What documents are not supported?

  • Passport and national identity documents are not supported as a proof of address.

  • Mobile phone bills are not accepted. (include images as examples)

  • Unofficial lease that are not certified and have no signatures

If you don’t have such a document or all documents are in the name of your parents, you can also submit letters from local representatives such as a Sheikh or a Mukthar depending on where you come from. These letters can be used to open an nsave account!

Unfortunately, you need to provide a valid document in your name to open an account. This means that document in the names of your parents are sadly not supported. Please upload a valid proof of address document in your name to open your nsave account!

Where can I obtain a valid proof of address documents?

There are many ways to obtain a valid proof of address document to upload. You could go to your online bank platform to export a recent bank statement which shows your name and address, you could upload utility bills such as Wifi, gas or electricity, or also go to your local official and request a recent document which states your address. Alternatively, you can also upload a lease agreement if the agreement is stamped and less than 1 year old.

Why does my proof of address keeps getting rejected?

If your proof of address keeps getting rejected, make sure that the document is supported, less than 3 months old, is in your name and has your residential address on it.
Also make sure to read the document request page to understand what might be the issue with your document. This will ensure a smooth account opening process!
