πŸ€” Why should I use Rule Out Responses?

Rule Out Responses are particularly useful for roles that receive a high volume of applications, many of which may not meet the minimum criteria. By using this feature, you can save time and energy by narrowing down your applicant pool to those who are most likely to be a good fit for your job.

πŸ“Œ When should I use Rule Out Responses?

1️⃣ For roles that receive high volumes of applications: If you find yourself inundated with numerous applications, Rule Out Responses can be a game-changer. They allow you to quickly identify and focus on applicants who meet your essential requirements.

2️⃣ For roles with mandatory requirements: Let's say you have specific qualifications or certifications that are crucial for a particular job. By setting up Rule Out Responses, you can automatically exclude candidates who don't possess these mandatory credentials.

❌ When should I avoid using Rule Out Responses?

1️⃣ Nice-to-have criteria: Rule Out Responses are not suitable for questions related to desirable but not mandatory qualifications. For example, if you're urgently seeking candidates based in a specific location, you might ask, "Are you currently living in the (UK, Ireland, USA)?" In this case, responses like "No" or "Willing to relocate" should be ruled out from the start. However, if it was the case that you might consider candidates not based in the location if there were low applicant numbers after a couple of days you might consider including candidates willing to relocate from the start.

2️⃣ lf its part of your screening process that you review candidates that might be suitable for other positions you have open please keep this in mind when creating rule out Responses

πŸš€ How do I start using Rule Out Responses?

1️⃣ Access the feature: To get started, go to "Templates" and select "Smart Questions." Here, you can find and edit your existing smart question groups. Click "Edit Response" to enable the Rule Out Responses feature for a specific question group.

2️⃣ Choose rejection template: You have the option to add a CV rejection template that will be automatically sent to candidates the next morning. This helps you maintain a professional and courteous communication process.

3️⃣ Add Rule Out Responses to job applications: Whether you're posting a new job or editing an existing one, you can add Rule Out Responses under the "Application Form" section. This allows you to tailor the questions specifically for each role.

Remember, if you decide to add Rule Out Responses, make sure to update them for all your roles individually if they were not previously added.
