Smart Questions are a fantastic tool designed to help you screen candidates. You set the questions, you decide which response is most important. Our tool will score the candidates based on the parameters you set out. Result: The best, most suitable candidates are prioritized in your hiring flow for you to review.

  • As a basic user or hiring manager, you can apply smart questions when posting/editing a job.

  • To do this, click on "My Jobs" and, while editing or posting the role, you will encounter the screening questions in the second step, labeled "Application Form."

  • You have the option to load a previously saved set of smart questions that your administrator has saved under the Templates.

  • Additionally, you can modify these questions for each job by adding new questions, deleting unnecessary ones, or creating a completely new set of questions if needed:

    • Select the type of question: Standard Yes/No or Multiple Choice.

    • Rate the importance of the question to your screening process by selecting the number of stars, e.g. if owning a full driver’s license is essential to the job, rate this question with ten stars.

    • Click “edit responses” to allocate the importance of the answers. Use the slider to select the importance of each response, e.g. Yes response = 10. No response = 0.

If your subscription allows you you can make any questions rule out questions too.

Rule Out Responses are particularly useful for roles that receive a high volume of applications, many of which may not meet the minimum criteria. By using this feature, you can save time and energy by narrowing down your applicant pool to those who are most likely to be a good fit for your job.

*Smart Questions are available on Grow and Custom Plans only. Speak to your account manager if you would like to upgrade.
