Subscription Fees Explained

This article will help to explain how multi-subscription fees are assessed.

Updated over a week ago

Knowing how subscription fees work helps you:

  • 💡 Accurately inform patrons about the total cost upfront, avoiding surprises at checkout.

  • Plan revenue projections by understanding net income after fees.

  • Compare pricing structures (ticket bundles vs. individual tickets) to optimize your offers.

👟Walkthrough

On The Stage charges a flat 5% fee per subscription package sold, not per ticket. Patrons purchasing multiple subscriptions in one transaction will see 5% added for each package—not a percentage multiplied by ticket count.

Fees on Discounted Subscriptions and Memberships

Previously, On The Stage calculated subscription and membership fees based on the list price, even if a discount was applied at the box office. For example, a $100 subscription discounted to $80 was still charged a $5 fee (5% of $100).

With the introduction of promo codes for subscriptions and memberships, fees are now calculated based on the actual price paid by the patron. Using the same example, a $100 subscription discounted to $80 is now charged a $4 fee (5% of $80).
