Your business details, hours and logos

Keeping the information your site is built from accurate: name, address, contact details, opening hours and logos.

Which editor is this for? This guide covers the new Site Editor. You are in the right place if your toolbar has a Media button and your assistant is called Ellie. If it does not, you are on the Site Tuner — see the Site Tuner guides instead.

Your website is generated from what the Site Editor knows about your business. Keeping that information right is the quickest way to fix wrong details across every page at once.

Open Settings with the round button in the bottom-left corner of the editor, then choose Business. It has three tabs: Details, Hours and Logos.

Details

This tab holds the basics that appear throughout your site:

  • Business Name — the name your customers know you by.

  • Business Address — helps customers know where you are located.

  • Business Email — used for customer inquiries directly from your site.

  • Main Phone Number — your primary contact number.

Choosing what customers can see

Below the fields is Choose what's visible on your site, with a checkbox for Address, Email and Phone Number. Clear a checkbox to keep a detail on file without showing it publicly — useful if you work from home and would rather not publish a street address.

Hours

Your opening hours are shown to customers before they call or book, so they matter more than they look.

  • Each day has its own switch. Turn a day off and it shows as closed.

  • Set an opening and closing time for each day you are open.

  • The copy icon beside a day copies those times to your other days, which saves setting the same hours seven times.

  • If you never really close, use We're available 24/7.

Logos

Upload your logo so the site feels like yours. There are two slots:

  • Light — used against light backgrounds.

  • Dark — used against dark backgrounds.

Click or drag an image into a slot. PNG and JPG files up to 5 MB are accepted. Use the pencil on a filled slot to replace what is there.

Filling both slots is worth the extra minute: your logo appears over a coloured header on some pages and a pale background on others, and a single version rarely reads well in both.

Filling this in from Google

The Details and Hours tabs both offer Pull in your details from Google. Sign in with the Google account that manages your Google Business Profile and your details are brought across, rather than typed twice. See Connecting your Google Business Profile.

After you change something

Updating your business information changes your site's content. As with any other change, it reaches your visitors when you publish — see Publishing your site and managing your domain.
