Are you interested in getting set up with OneLocal's new LocalPhone service, but don't want to go through the hassle of updating your business phone number?

Luckily, you don't have to!

We can assist you with porting your phone number over to Twilio (OneLocal's phone service provider) so you can continue using your same business number and don't have to worry about updating your website, online profiles, and various other places you may advertise your business phone number.

So now that you're interested, how do we get started?

First, you'll need to fill out and sign the Twilio Letter of Authorization, linked here.

Next, you'll need to inform your current phone provider you would like to switch providers and you will be porting your phone number over to the new provider (Twilio). They will need the following information:

  • First and last name of the main user on the account

  • The phone number you would like to port (main business line)

  • Your business address (must be a physical address, PO Boxes are not accepted)

  • A copy of your most recent phone bill (ideally within the last 30 days)

  • A signed copy of the Letter of Authorization previously mentioned

  • A Customer Service Record (CSR), you will likely need to contact your service provider to collect this piece of information

It's important this information is provided in full and is accurate, as discrepancies can result in your request being denied.

Porting a number can take up to 4 weeks to be completely processed so it's important to be patient and keep your service active with your existing phone provider until the porting is complete to avoid any interruptions to your service.

Twilio will confirm the porting date which will be the day your number will be available and active in Twilio, and thus OneLocal. At this time you can cancel your service with your existing provider.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your Marketing Specialist or the dedicated OneLocal Support Team.

Happy porting!
