In the jmc Family portal, you can easily update your family’s contact information in one convenient location. Whether you’ve recently moved, changed your cell phone number, or added an email address, you can quickly enter or edit names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and more. Keeping your contact information current helps ensure you stay informed and don’t miss important messages from your student’s school.
In jmc Family head to "Contact Information" in the menu tree to update your contact information.
Step One: Enter your information in the appropriate fields to ensure your contact details are accurate and up to date.
Helpful Tip: To ensure mailings are addressed to both members of a household, enter both first names in the "First Name" field, separated by an ampersand (&) or the word “and.”
Step Two (optional): Select a language from the "Message Center Language" drop-down list to receive school communications in your family’s preferred language.
Step Three: Enter a phone number in the "Phone 1" field to guarantee the school can contact you.
Helpful Tip: To help the office identify the owner of the phone number, enter a description (for example, “Dad’s Cell”) in the "Description" field.
Step Four: Select the appropriate phone type (for example, Cell, Work, Home, Fax, or Unlisted) from the options provided to help the school maintain accurate contact records.
Fun Fact: Correctly identifying a phone number as a cell phone allows it to receive SMS (text) messages, helping you stay informed through important school communications.
Step Five: Place a checkmark next to each message type you would like to receive at this phone number:
SMS (Text Message)
Emergency/Weather Related
Student/Lunch Related
General School Information
Step Six: Select a language from the "Message Center Language" drop-down list to indicate your preferred language for receiving school communications through Message Center.
Step Seven: Enter any additional information or comments in the "Comments" field to share specific details or requests related to your contact changes with school staff.
Step Eight: Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to update your contact information, or navigate away from the page to discard your changes.
Fun Fact: To increase the likelihood of receiving important school communications, you can associate up to eight email addresses and eight phone numbers with a contact, including multiple points of contact such as work and personal email addresses and phone numbers.
