Import lesson plans from the previous year

You put a ton of work into your lesson plans last year and they haven't changed a whole lot. Let's import them to save you time!

With the foundation of your lesson plans laid out, it's easy to make small updates and adjustments since jmc stores all of your lesson plans in jmc teacher making it simple to import them into the current school year. With your entire year's worth of lesson plans at your fingertips, easily make edits and adjustments on the fly. Why reinvent the wheel year after year when you can keep your foundational learning progressions intact!

To import lesson plans in jmc Teacher, go to Edit > Import Lesson Plans from Previous Year.

Step One: Select a teacher from the "Teacher" drop-down list in the "Prior Year" box to access your courses.

Step Two: Select a course from the "Courses" drop-down list in the "Prior Year" box to access the lesson plans associated with that course.

Step Three: Select a lesson plan from the list to view the lesson plan in the "Lesson Plan Info" box.

Step Four: Enter the date of the lesson plan in the "Lesson Plan Date" field or simply click the calendar icon.

Step Five: Edit the lesson plan in the "Lesson Plan Text" box to update the plan content.

Step Six: Select the course from the "Course" drop-down list in the "Current Year" box to select a destination for the imported lesson plan.

Step Seven: Click the "Save" button to import the previous year's lesson plan into the current year's course lesson plan list.

Helpful Tip: Changing grade levels or taking over a class from another teacher? The importing lesson plans feature is a great way for you and your fellow teachers to share materials!
