The "Grade Summary" report in jmc Teacher is a valuable tool for educators. It provides a fast and easy way to check on student progress in each of your classes. With a simple glance, this report offers insights into overall course grades, listed by points or percentage, along with class averages. It's a convenient way to gauge overall class performance and identify students who may benefit from additional support. By using the "Grade Summary" report, you can effectively guide your students toward the path of academic success.

In jmc Teacher, go to Reports > Grade Summary to run your "Grade Summary" report.

Step One: Select a course from the 'Courses' box to include it in your "Grade Summary" report. You can select multiple courses by holding down the CTRL key (Windows) or the CMD key (Mac). Alternatively, you can run the "Grade Summary" report for all courses by checking the 'Select All Courses' checkbox.

Step Two: Enter the date the report should start in the "From Date" field or simply click the calendar icon.

Step Three: Select the appropriate radio button to indicate if the report will be listed with student numbers or student names.

  • Student Name: displays a list of scores by student names

  • Student Number: displays a list of scores by student number to maintain confidentiality

Step Four: Select the sort order from the "Sort" drop-down list to arrange the report according to your preference.

  • Student Name: sort your report alphabetically by student last names

  • Percentage - Descending: sort your report with the highest earned percentage at the top and lowest earned percentage at the bottom

  • Percentage - Ascending: sort your report with the lowest earned percentage at the top and highest earned percentage at the bottom

Step Five: Place a checkmark in the "Consolidate Classes" checkbox to view all students from all selected courses together on one page or remove the checkmark from the "Consolidate Classes" checkbox to view each course included in your report separately.

Step Six: Click the "Preview" button to view the "Grade Summary" report where you will find student names/numbers, percents, points and/or letter grades, as well as a class mean, median, maximum and minimum.

Step Seven: Click the "Print" button to print a copy of your "Grade Summary" or to save it as a PDF for future reference.
