An important part of your daily responsibilities includes sending out emails and reviewing the emails you receive. We've made it so you can connect to your Google Workspace or Microsoft Outlook, allowing you to send and receive emails directly through Open To Close.

Very Important:

If you are connecting a Google Workspace to Open To Close, it must be a Business Workspace rather than an Individual Workspace. The Business plan offers more security and management which is needed to connect to Open To Close.

Connect Your Google Workspace Business Account

  1. From the onboarding screen, click Connect Google.

  2. This will open a popup window that will give you the steps to Whitelist Open To Close inside your Google Workspace admin account.

  3. After finishing the process of whitelisting an email, check the box that says "I've whitelisted Open To Close, connect my email."

  4. Click the Connect Google button.

  5. If you have not already, you will be asked to log in to your Google Workspace account.

  6. After allowing Open To Close to access your Google Workspace account, it will take you back to your Open To Close screen and say "Connection Successful."

If you want to set up your Google Workspace at a later time, you can do so by going to the gear icon and selecting Apps & APIs. Choose Google Workspace and click on Authorize Google.

Important:

Open To Close does not allow the primary API connection to be an @gmail.com address. However, you can add your @gmail.com address as an alias to your primary account. To know more about this, please read Can I Use @gmail with Open To Close?

Note:

If you don't have a Google Workspace or Outlook, you may click Set Up Later or use the Non-API Email Address option. The difference between using a non-API and Google Workspace/Outlook is the deliverability of an email. Here's an article that goes over it in more detail: Adding a Non-API Email Address.

Now that your email is set up, it's time to add your team members. Follow this article to learn more: Add Team Members.
