Ever wondered what your Fans want to see from you? Or where your Fans would like to see you play? Want to gauge interest for a potential exclusive merch line? Or to find out more about demand for shows and pre-sale access?

If so, why not try asking the Fans! Using Poll Steps in Landing Pages allows you to do just that.

Setup

Head to Landing Pages --> New Landing Page (this can be blank, you do not need to pick a template at this point unless you want to).

Name your Landing Page and configure your short URL and tag for signups (this is given to any fan who goes through this flow). For more on Landing Page creation, see here.

Poll Steps

  • Add a Poll Step.

  • Add a question. Make sure to add appropriate answer tags, as these are attributed to fans who choose a certain answer for clear segmentation of audience.

  • Add the possible answers for that question.

  • Repeat by adding more Poll Steps as required.

This page functions in the same way as a regular Landing Page. It has a Welcome Step, where you collect fan data, and a Thank You Step, for thanking fans that have interacted with you in this flow. Other steps in between are dictated by you to suit the style of the campaign.

The Data

As the responses come in, you will see a breakdown of answers in the stats section in the form of a chart. This sits alongside all of your normal statistics for a regular Landing Page. You can then reach out to fans accordingly based on these answers (filtering by tag).

Each fan that gave an answer is identifiable using the relevant answer tag. For more on tags and answer tags, please read our How to Use Tags article.

Here are a few ideas for using polls effectively:

  1. For pre-sale access, you could gauge interest for each show using a Poll Step and send specific fans the show link and/or codes that they chose.

  2. To know how popular potential merch lines would be, you could ask fans their preference on product(s) and how much they would be willing to pay for these.

  3. 'What songs would you like to hear at the [insert location] show?'

  4. 'What type of news are you interested in hearing from me/us?'. Possible answers could include 'music', 'merch', and 'shows'.
