Many artists on Openstage are having great success with campaigns that ask fans to upload content they’ve made themselves to a simple landing page. Some take the form of a competition element for an added incentive.

Whether you're promoting a new release, a new merch line, an upcoming tour or even celebrating a wrapped tour, fan uploads are a great way to build the excitement or keep the party going, not to mention show the fans you care! Get fans to upload their reactions, questions, artwork, song covers, favourite memories, and more.

Share the results on your socials to further promote your release and build that community feeling. You can also collect fans' social media handles as part of your campaign, and then tag them when you post their uploads.

With one simple landing page you can:

1. Bring more fans into your Openstage database by gathering their contact info as step one of the campaign flow.

2. Get valuable, re-purposable content for further promotion.

3. Make fans feel seen, involved, and appreciated!

4. Tag fans for later communications based on their signup to this campaign. Fans will be overjoyed to have played a role in their favourite artist’s campaign.

💫 For inspiration, here are some great example campaigns:

Loreen - Social Media Challenge

Make a video on Tiktok or Instagram Reels using my sound, and the best one will receive a heart shaped vinyl

Oasis - Questions

Record yourself asking us a question for a chance to have us answer it

Foreigner - Tell us why

Write us the reason we should play a show in your city for a chance to win tickets

Only The Poets - Proof of purchase

Upload a picture of your physical CD from our pop-up for a chance to get a call from us

Mabel - Reactions

Record your reaction to a sneak peek of my new single

The Academic - Appreciation Compilation

Send us your photos and videos from the tour for a fan compilation video

TOP TIP: Consider the scale of your audience when approaching a fan upload campaign. Don’t over promise individual responses to fans if you’re expecting hundreds of entries.
