You can see here how your Rating works.

What are the Stars and what do they mean?

The Star system is put in place to show clients how well you work.

Now, when you look at your Home Page 🏠 or Profile Page 🙍‍♂️ on the Orka Works app, you’ll see your Stars and Points clearly displayed.

Where can I see my Points and Rating?

You can see your Points and Rating, by going to the Home Page 🏠

or Profile Page 🙍‍♂️ in your app.

Why do I have 3.8 Stars even though I haven't done any work yet?

By completing all the steps to set up your account, we give you points. If you have fully completed all the relevant steps, your score will be 3800 points, which is 3.8 ⭐

If I only have 3.8 Stars, will a company still accept me for a shift?

Yes!

We have made it clear to the companies that use Orka Works how the stars work, and they will be able to see that you have only just started with us.

How many points do I need to get to earn a star?

Each star is worth 1000 points. The more points you earn the more stars you have.

How do I earn more points?

You can earn more points by clocking in for your shift on time - each time you do this, you get another 200 points!
This means that by working 5 shifts and clocking in on time, you will earn a star ⭐

How can I lose points?

You can lose points in different ways.

  1. Cancelling a shift you have been approved for.
Our companies need staff to be reliable, so cancelling a shift that you have been approved for will mean a reduction in points.

  2. Cancelling a shift with less than 48 hours notice.
This will result in a large loss of points as well as a Strike. Cancelling with such short notice doesn't give the us much time to find a replacement and could potentially leave a site unmanned. We need our workers to be reliable.

The amount of points you lose will depend on what area of the country you are in.

The breakdown is:

  • Early Cancellation for an approved Shift = -100 points London OR -200 points anywhere else

  • Late Cancellation for an approved Shift (within 48 hours of the shift starting) = -500 points in London OR -1000 points anywhere else

  • Not attending an approved Shift = -1000 points for London OR -2000 points anywhere else

What can I do if I've lost points, but I don't think I should have?

If you have lost points for any given reason and you don't agree, please reach out to a member of our Community Team. We can't promise that we'll be able to give you back the points you've lost, but we will look into it and give you a decision.

The decisions of our Community Team are final on this matter.

How do I know if I've gained another Star?

Each time you earn enough points to earn a new Star, you will be notified in the app.

If you have any questions that we haven't covered in this article, please do not hesitate to send us a message!
