How to post a duty/shift

A step-by-step guide on how to post a duty/shift on TEAM (Timegate) so that it pulls through to Orka Works

To post a role on TEAM (Timegate) so that it gets pulled through to Orka Works, you first have to make sure that you have created Orka Works as a Third Party Supplier branch.

Once you have that setup, navigate to the site you want to post a duty for on TEAM (Timegate). The details of that duty will then be displayed. Fill in the details as you normally would but then ensure you do the following:

  1. That a pay level is selected

2. Make sure the "Send to Supplier" toggle is switched on

3. Press create duty. You can then see the duty on TEAM (Timegate).

Please note for the purpose of this example, the duty/shift is for the 28th of September 2023 for the site BT OpenReach.


What happens next?

Well next you will be able to see the duty on Orka Works (this takes 1 minute to show up so don't worry if you don't see it instantly!).

The duty you just created will be a shift within a job (see more here about the differences between TEAM (Timegate) and Orka Works).

Clicking into that job, you will be able to see the shift/duty that was pulled through from TEAM (Timegate) [remember that in this example, the shift is for the 28th of September 2023].

You can also see the TEAM (Timegate) logo for the shifts (which means they were pulled through to Orka Works).

None of the information that you can usually amend while using Orka Works can be changed if the shift/duty was pulled through from TEAM (Timegate).
