Overview of Product Additional Options
The Additional Options tab in the Edlio Payments product editor controls purchaser access rules, recurring billing schedules, inventory caps, and transaction fee behavior for individual store items.
đĄ Best-Practice Adoption Tip: For items purchased by extended family, alumni, or the broader community (such as drama club tickets, booster donations, or general spirit wear), always enable No Student ID Required. This permits Guest Checkout so purchasers can complete payment without needing to look up an active student ID number.
Key Additional Options Explained
Configure the following toggles based on your school's event or merchandising requirements:
No Student ID Required (Guest Checkout): When checked, purchasers can check out as guests without associating the purchase with an enrolled student profile. Uncheck this for course fees, graduation caps/gowns, or obligations where tracking against an exact student record is mandatory.
Item Text Input from Purchaser: Displays an open single-line text input field on the store product page. Ideal for collecting brief customized info, such as "Name to engrave on plaque" or "Student Homeroom Teacher".
Limited Quantity Item: Allows you to establish a maximum physical inventory cap. When total units sold reach this limit, the item automatically marks as Sold Out on the public store.
Recurring Payments: Enables automated scheduled billing cycles for multi-month tuition, band instrument rentals, or recurring school club dues.
Employee Only: Restricts visibility and purchase eligibility exclusively to verified staff user accounts.
Taxable: Applies local and state sales tax rates configured in school district setup.
Sub-Product Integrations (OTR, OMS, OTM)
The Additional Options tab also contains integration triggers for Edlio Payments add-ons:
OTR - Teacher Receipt Entry: Enables the activity for in-classroom cash and check receipting by assigned teachers.
OTM - Ticket Redemption: Enables live digital barcode and QR code ticket scanning at athletic games and auditorium events.
OMS - Mobile Swipe: Makes the item selectable on mobile point-of-sale card reader devices.
