Year-End Close

Roll your fiscal year's ending balances into the new year's beginning balances.

Year-End Close is where you roll your current fiscal year's ending balances into the beginning balances of the new fiscal year.

What the year-end close does

At the end of your fiscal year, the system takes all the ending balances from the closing year (for example, FY 2025-2026) and rolls them over to the beginning balances of the new fiscal year (e.g. FY 2026-2027).

How to run it

  • Navigate to Settings → Year-End Close.

  • Preview the process — this shows you the balances that will be rolled over.

  • Click to run the process.

The system creates the beginning balances for the new fiscal year based on the ending balances of the closing year.

When to run it

Run the year-end close after you have:

  • Closed all fiscal periods for the ending year.

  • Completed all period-zero adjustments in Beginning Balances.

  • Verified your ending balances are correct.
