Full Admins, Commissioners, and Schedulers with permissions can identify and resolve coaching conflicts directly with the Coaching Conflicts report. The calendar-based view displays both direct and potential conflicts for coaches across games and trainings, making it easier to adjust schedules before issues arise. Options to filter by all or individual coaches are available. Once resolved, conflicts automatically disappear from the report.
Viewing the Coaching Conflicts Report
To access the report, from the navigation select Programs > choose your program and season > Scheduling.
Next, from the Report drop-down menu, select Coaching Conflicts.
A calendar-style view of coaching conflicts will be shown on the report, displaying Seasonal Events per coach with color-coded identifiers:
Red: Direct conflict
Orange: Potential conflicts
Grey: Cross-seasonal conflicts
The default view opens to today’s date or the next upcoming date with a conflict for all coaches in the season.
Note: Only team staff members designated as ‘Coach’ will show on the conflict calendar. Staff designed as Assistant Coach, Team Manager, etc., will not display as conflicts on this view.
Tip: Use the Coaching Conflicts block in the Scheduling Overview to quickly see how many coaches have confirmed scheduling conflicts and how many may have potential conflicts that require attention.
Defining Coach Conflicts
Displayed in RED, a direct conflict occurs when:
Event times overlap, or
Events at different locations start within 5 minutes of each other.
Displayed in ORANGE, a potential conflict occurs when events at the same location start within 5 minutes of each other.
Displayed in GREY, these are cross-seasonal conflicts, which occur when events outside the selected season are displayed if they contribute to a conflict.
Tip: Hover over the event blocks to view more details.
Using the Coach Filters
To focus on an individual coach, select the Coach drop-down menu and choose a coach from the list. Only coaches with conflicts will appear in the menu, along with the number of conflicts in parentheses. I.e., Doe, John (3)
2. Once a coach has been selected, only the date(s) where the coach has a conflict will appear on the calendar. Click on the dates to view the conflicts for the coach.
