What Reports Are Available and When Should I Build a Custom One?

OTTO Sport has dozens of pre-built reports ready to run, no setup needed. Learn which reports are available and when a custom report might help.

Start with Built-In Reports

OTTO Sport includes a full library of pre-built reports designed to cover the data most organizations need on a regular basis. Whether you're tracking registrations, reviewing financials, or checking on payment statuses, chances are there's already a report ready and waiting for you.

To access them, from the navigation, click Reports, then select Registrations. Registration Reports is where most admins find what they're looking for; it covers player data, registration statuses, and more.

Common Built-In Reports

Here are some of the reports admins use most often:

  • Registration Reports — View player registration details, statuses, and form responses across your season.

  • Financial Reports — Monitor deposits, refunds, and payment activity coming in and out of your account.

    • Tip: Click here to learn more about our most commonly used Financial Reports.

  • Credit Card Reports — Check on overdue payments and card statuses.

  • Discount Code Reports — See which discount codes have been applied across your season.

Each of these can be filtered and exported, so you can sort the data exactly how you need it.

When to Use the Custom Report Builder

Custom reports are available for situations where the built-in reports don't quite cover a specific need. A few examples of when building a custom report makes sense:

  • Invitee Reports — See the status of all player invites for a season in one place (accepted, declined, pending) without going team by team. This is the most commonly built custom report.

  • Uniform or Vendor Reports — Pull specific columns like player name, team name, and form responses (such as jersey size), formatted for an outside vendor.

  • Mailing Labels — Generate a report with columns in a specific order for printing or exporting.

How to Build a Custom Report

  1. From the navigation, select Reports > Custom Reports.

  2. On the right side of the page, select the + icon to Add a New Report.

  3. Select New Blank Report and give it a name.

  4. Use the left-hand panel to choose columns from the available data option categories.

    • Note: All columns in a custom report must come from the same data option category. I.e., you can't mix Household Data fields with Registration Data fields.

  5. Select a season when prompted.

  6. Drag and drop columns to reorder them as needed.

  7. Click Save Report, then Run Report to generate your data.
