Upload a File: Design Modes
Updated over a week ago

Two Design Modes ('Interactivity Only' and 'Design & Interactivity') are available if you have created a new Document by uploading a PDF or PowerPoint file. It's important to read this section to ensure you know what each mode does and when you may want to use it.

Design Modes Explained

  • 'Interactivity Only' - this mode is great if you only want to add Interactivity, such as a video, quiz or hyperlink to your document

  • 'Design & Interactivity' - this mode will import your file into Designer, enabling you to take a more creative approach by adding panels, such as Text, Image or List, as well as Interactivity.

Using 'Interactivity Only'

Choose this mode if you do not wish to overlay design elements, or if you plan to update the design with a newly uploaded file.

  • Select 'Design' for the Version from the Manage screen.

  • Select 'Interactivity Only' from the Design Mode section.

  • Select 'Save Changes'.

  • The Version will then open ready to add Interactivity.

Using 'Design & Interactivity'

Choose this mode if you wish to overlay design elements, and do not plan to update the design with a newly uploaded file.

  • Select 'Design' for the Version from the Manage screen.

  • Select 'Design & Interactivity' from the Design Mode section.

  • Select 'Save Changes'.

  • The Version will then open ready to add Panels or Interactivity.

Selecting this option will import your file into Designer - This option cannot be undone, and you will no longer be able to replace the file.
