Badges: How to create a Badge
Updated over a week ago

Award your visitors with a Badge when they pass a test or quiz; it’s simple to set up and the only mandatory requirement is a name! There are various other options that can be configured too, which we recommend to get the most from this feature.

How to create a Badge

  • Select ‘Documents’ from the main menu.

  • Select ‘Settings’ followed by ‘Badges’.

  • Select the ‘Add’ button.

A short section will then be available for you to complete. Let's take a closer look...

Badge Settings

Name

Enter a name for your Badge. It’s important that this is clear and concise so it’s easy to find when you wish to use it.

Description

Although not mandatory, a description can be added here which is useful for the other users in your account if they need to check what the Badge will be used for.

Badge image

Upload an image in jpeg, gif, or png format. The image must be 1:1 ratio (square) and between 100 and 500 pixels in size. This image can be used in the result content of your Assessment so the reader will ‘see’ their Badge.

Expire after

Set an amount of time in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years for the Badge to expire after. After this time has passed, the Badge will be omitted from the reader’s records.

Expire On

Set a specific date and time that the Badge will expire on. Once this date and time have passed, the Badge will be omitted from the reader’s records.

Hidden

If you no longer wish to use the Badge it can be hidden. Note: this will not affect instances where the Badge is already in use.

What happens next?

Once your Badge has been created it is ready to be awarded to your visitors, for example, when they pass a test or quiz. To do this you must ensure the Badge is assigned to a 'Result' for an Assessment/Test element in your version.
