If you are creating a document in a different language, the font used must support it. If not, you may see unexpected results.

A font such as Lato cannot be used to create a document written in Chinese, as it does not support Chinese characters. However, Noto Sans Simplified Chinese can be used as this is a font file specifically created for Chinese characters.

Fonts

GoogleFonts has a large range of fonts, all available to download and use for free. it's an easy to use, trusted resource for when you're looking for fonts!

How to search for Fonts on GoogleFonts

  • Select the 'Filter' option.

  • Choose the language option you are looking for from the Language drop-down list.

A list of fonts that support the language will then be returned.

  • Click on the font that you wish to download.

  • Select 'Get Font'.

  • Select 'Download All' to download the font files.

The font files will be downloaded to a folder on your machine.

Languages & Layout Library

Please contact our Support team if you wish to use a different language in a Layout Library. They will ensure a new Branding is created for you using the font file that supports the language. The Branding can then be selected and used in the Layout Library document.

Languages & Fully Editable

If you wish to use a different language in a Fully Editable document, all you need to do is upload the font file! Once done, it will be available to use.

  • Navigate to a Fully Editable document and open it in 'Design' mode.

  • Select the third icon from the left-hand menu.

  • Select 'Upload Fonts'.

  • Select the 'Add Files' button and select the font file(s) you wish to upload.

  • Select the 'Start Upload' button.
