How to Import Inventory Pricing

Learn how to import inventory pricing into Parspec — using the recommended template or your own export — so in-stock product data is ready to pull into quotes.

Importing inventory pricing lets you bulk load your in-stock product data — including cost, pricing, and quantity on hand — so it's available to pull into quotes automatically.

1.Navigate to the Inventory Tab (In Pricing History)

  1. Click into the Products section from the left navigation.

  2. Click the Inventory tab.

  3. Click Import.

2.Upload Your File

  1. Download and use the linked template provided — this is the recommended format for a smooth import.

  2. If uploading your own export instead, a Map Columns popup will appear — match your columns to the corresponding Parspec fields.

  3. Click Confirm Import when done.

Note: Any field left blank during mapping will not populate into Inventory. Imports overwrite existing data — this is by design to allow fast, full replacements.

3. Best Practices for Your Import File

  • Manufacturer and Model Number are mandatory — every row must include both.

  • Quantity on Hand (QOH) must be an integer. To allow pricing and cost to be reused in quotes, set QOH to 1.

  • Any cost or pricing column should be formatted as a currency value in Excel (not plain text).

Tip: Use Parspec's linked template whenever possible — it's pre-formatted to match all required fields and avoids the column mapping step entirely.
