Use the Per column to accurately price commodities like wire, cable, and conduit by unit of measure — ensuring your extended sell prices calculate correctly based on how the product is sold.

Note: The Per column also works within kit components. Each component's cost sums together automatically and appears as the kit unit cost.

1.Enable the Per Column

  1. In the Pricing & Lead Time tab, click the three vertical dots.

  2. Select Manage Columns and check the Per column.

  3. Click Confirm.

Tip: Drag and drop column headers to reposition the Per column wherever works best for your workflow.

2. Set the Per Value

  1. In the Per column, double-click the cell and choose the appropriate unit from the dropdown:

    • E — per each (1)

    • C — per hundred (100)

    • M — per thousand (1,000)

  2. Parspec will automatically calculate the Sell Price using the formula: Sell Price = (Unit Price × Quantity) ÷ Per.

Tip: Use the bulk edit (✎) feature to mass assign the same unit of measure across multiple line items at once.

3. Display the UoM on your Quote

  1. Click Create Quote in the Pricing & Lead Time tab.

  2. In the Pricing & Lead Time section of the quote customization screen, ensure the Unit Price toggle is turned on.

  3. Preview your quote to confirm the UOM displays correctly on the customer-facing document.
