After registering your account and verifying your email, you will need to log in and set up your 2-factor authentication.

You have two verification options once you get to the two-factor authentication page.

If you own a smartphone and you feel relatively confident about using it, choose the option of the authenticator app.

If you’re not so good at using apps on your mobile, the Verify via Email option will probably be a better option for you.

Here’s how you would use the Google authenticator on mobile:

Firstly, download Google Authenticator or another authenticator app on your phone. You don’t have to use Google Authenticator but personally, we think it’s the easiest.

Open the app.

Next, you’ll need to connect your Payroller account to the app.

To do this, either scan the barcode provided in Payroller or type in the code manually.

Once this has been set up, the app will give you a six-digit code that expires every thirty seconds.

Enter this code where it asks for it and click Verify.

Please note: if you need a new QR code and have selected "Remember me for 24 hrs" you will need to wait 24 hours before you can select "Lost authenticator" to reset your QR code.

Here’s how you would use the Google authenticator on google chrome:

Firstly, download the Google Authenticator from the chrome web store.

Select the authenticator icon on the top right

Select the scan box on the top right

Click and drag your mouse from the top left corner of the box to the right bottom corner

Click on the authenticator icon on the top right corner

Click on the box to copy the code to your clipboard

Paste the code to the verification code box and select verify

You have now successfully entered accessed your account

Here’s how you verify via email:

Scroll down the page.

Click on ‘Verify via email’.

This will email you your six-digit code which you will enter in the program.

When retrieving your email, be careful to not close the program. Otherwise, the code you were sent will be incorrect.

If you received no email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. If it can't be found in either of these, contact our support team via the support chat or and they'll help you out.

Once again, make sure to click ‘Remember me for 24 hours' to skip this stage next time you go to log in.
