How to sign up and register for your first event

Updated over a week ago

1) Find your event

  1. Go to Search Events.

  2. Type the event name or use filters (e.g., “2025 National Standardbred Horse Show”).

  3. Click Register on your event.

  4. You’ll be prompted to log in—click Sign Up (first-time users).

2) Create your account

  1. Choose your user type:

    • Lone Rider — just you and your horse (no trainer/owner/team).

    • Team Rider — you + horse, and you may add other riders and/or link a trainer/owner.

    • Guardian — a parent/guardian registering a minor.

    • Auditor/Spectator — buying non-rider tickets only.

  2. Enter your personal details:

    • Name

    • Username (must be all lowercase, no spaces, no special characters).

    • Email, Phone, Password, DOB, Nationality

    • Primary Discipline (e.g., Standardbred)

  3. Click Next.

Tip: If the username is taken, adjust it (e.g., add digits).

3) Add your horse

  1. Enter your horse details (e.g., Rambo 4).

  2. Select Breed, Gender, Color.

  3. Confirm ownership checkbox (as applicable).

  4. Click Next, then Finish.

You’ll land on the registration flow and see a progress tracker.

4) Confirm team details (requirements check)

  • If the show requires certain info (e.g., phone number) and it’s missing, you’ll see an error here.

  • Complete any missing fields, then click Start.

5) Select classes and assign rider + horse

  1. In RegisterClasses, pick the classes you want.

  2. For each class, assign:

    • Rider (e.g., yourself)

    • Horse (e.g., Rambo 4)

  3. Repeat per class.

Adding teammates before proceeding

  • Click Add Person to add another rider/owner/trainer (e.g., “James Berman”).

  • If the show requires a field (like phone), you’ll see an inline error—fill and Save.

  • You can assign multiple riders (e.g., you and James) to the same class on the same horse if the class allows it.

6) Add fees and tickets

  1. Fees: Add any applicable add-ons (e.g., RV unit) and set quantities.

  2. Tickets: Add auditor/spectator tickets if needed.

7) Assign roles per entry

  • Go to Roles (done per entry).

  • For each entry (e.g., Sam on Rambo; James on Rambo):

    • Assign Owner

    • Assign Trainer

  • Example: If Rambo is your horse and you’re training James, set yourself as Owner and Trainer on both entries.

8) Sign paperwork

  1. You, the logged-in user, will sign your required forms now.

  2. Any additional riders you added (e.g., James) receive an email prompting them to log in and sign their own paperwork later.

    • Minors may show as no paperwork required for them in your view (handled via guardian flow).

9) Answer custom questions

  • In Comments, answer the show’s custom prompts (e.g., stabling preferences, notes to show office).

10) Review, confirm, and pay

  1. Confirm & Pay: Expand sections to verify all fees and details.

  2. Need changes? Click Edit to jump back to that step.

  3. Choose a payment method:

    • Credit Card: Add and save a new card, then select it to pay now.

    • Pay at Show: Choose Cash/Check at Show (the show may also accept Venmo/PayPal at the secretary’s office).

  4. Click Submit Registration. You’re entered!

11) Manage your entry afterward

  1. Go to My EventsRegistered → click Manage on your show.

  2. Paperwork tab:

    • See each entry and role (e.g., Sam = owner/trainer signed).

    • Check who still needs to sign. (Added riders will have their own paperwork status.)

  3. Billing/Receipt:

    • View current balance.

    • Pay later by adding/selecting a credit card here anytime.

  4. Classes:

    • Click Add to enter more classes.

    • You’ll repeat the registration steps, but now it shows Add to (it appends to your existing entry).

  5. Scratch:

    • Select items/classes/fees to scratch and click Scratch.

    • Notes:

      • The screen shows the amount scratched and where a refund would go if approved.

      • Refunds are not automatic. Scratches notify the organizer; they will review and decide on refunds.

12) Need help?
