Filtering Your Search by Commute

Use the Commute Filter to find properties within a specific travel time from a chosen destination. This filter helps you identify listings that fit your daily commute based on location, departure time, and preferred mode of transportation.

What Is the Commute Filter?

The Commute Filter allows you to search for listings based on how long it takes to travel from a specific location, such as your office, school, or another frequently visited destination.

By setting a commute time and travel method, Perchwell highlights areas where listings fall within your preferred commuting distance.

Step 1: Access the Commute Filter

You can access the Commute Filter from the Filters panel or directly from the Location column on the Search page.

Option 1: From the Filters Panel

  1. Go to the Search page.

  2. Click Filters.

  3. In the Location section, select Commute.

Option 2: From the Location Filter Column

  1. On the Search page, locate the Location column.

  2. Click the dropdown arrow in the column.

  3. Select Commute.


Step 2: Set Your Commute Criteria

Enter your commuting details to define the search area.

Steps

  1. Enter the Origin Location

    Type the starting location for your commute, such as an office or school.

  2. Select the Day of Departure

    Choose the day you plan to commute.

  3. Set the Departure Time

    Enter the time you typically begin your commute.

  4. Enter Maximum Commute Time

    Specify how long you are willing to travel.

  5. Select Mode of Transportation

    Choose your preferred travel method, such as Driving, Walking, or Biking.

Once applied, the map will update to highlight areas that fall within your selected commute time.


Tips

  • You can apply multiple commute filters with different origin locations.

  • Commute filters work alongside other search filters such as price, bedrooms, and status.

  • The map highlights areas that fall within the specified commute time based on your selected travel method.
