Message Clients in Perchwell

What Messaging lets you do

Use Messages to keep client conversations tied to the listings you share.

  • Send messages to an invited client

  • Share listings in a message

  • Review client feedback in one place

Before you start: clients must be invited

Messaging is available only after you invite a client to Perchwell.


New message creation

Create a conversation from Messages.

Steps:

  1. Click Messages in the top navigation

  2. In the left panel, hover over Contacts

  3. Click the pencil icon

  4. Select the contact you want to message

  5. Type your message

  6. Click the Send icon

The conversation appears in Messages


Create a message from other areas in Perchwell

Use the option that best matches where you are working.

From Contacts

Steps:

  1. Open Contacts

  2. Click the message icon next to the contact


From Search

Steps:

  1. Open Search page

  2. Switch to the results view by clicking Search

  3. Select the checkboxes next to the listings you want to share

  4. Click Actions

  5. Select Share via Messages

  6. Choose a Contact

  7. Enter a Message

  8. Click Send


From the Listing Detail Page

Steps:

  1. Open a Listing Detail Page

  2. Click Share

  3. Select Send in Messages

  4. Click the Send in Messages button ****to start a new conversation

  5. Select the contact

  6. Click Share


From Tags

Steps:

  1. Open Tags

  2. Open a tag to view its listings

  3. Select the checkboxes next to the listings you want to share

  4. In the footer action bar, click Share

  5. Select the contact

  6. Click Share

All conversations appear in Messages


Review reactions and shared properties

Client reactions help you understand interest at a glance.

Reactions clients can use

  • Like

  • Maybe

  • Reject

Filter listings by reaction

  1. Open a conversation in Messages.

  2. Click Shared Properties.

  3. Select a filter.

    • All

    • Undecided

    • Maybe

    • Liked

    • Rejected


Manage alerts and notifications

Use notifications to respond quickly when a client messages you.

  • Get an email notification when a client sends a new message

  • Look for a green dot on the Messages tab on desktop

  • Receive a push notification on mobile

New message identification

Steps:

  1. Click Messages

  2. Look for conversations with a notification badge

  3. Click a contact name to open the conversation


Tips

  • Message only invited clients.

  • Messaging looks similar for clients in their client portal.

  • Messages stay linked to the listings you reference.

  • Delete is not available. Conversations cannot be deleted.
