Wondering if you're using your Perifit Care(+) correctly?
You're not alone — this is one of the most common questions we receive, especially from users just starting out. The good news is that the app gives you a clear way to check your technique in real time!
Understanding how your probe works
Your Perifit Care(+) probe has two sensors:
Bottom sensor: measures your pelvic floor contractions.
Top sensor: picks up intra-abdominal pressure — this can come from your abs, breathing, glutes, or even nearby organs.
Meet your in-game guide: the Contraction Quality Meter
During the games, you’ll see a Contraction Quality Meter in the top-right corner of the screen. It looks like a little speedometer and gives you instant feedback on your technique:
🟢 Green = You’re doing great! Your pelvic floor is working without too much help from other muscles.
🟠🔴 Orange or Red = Too much pressure detected by the top sensor. This often means your abs are engaging, but it could also be caused by glute tension, breathing, or even your posture.
Tips to improve your technique
Relax your abs, glutes, and thighs. Try placing a hand on your stomach to monitor the use of your abs
Exhale gently as you contract — avoid holding your breath.
Feeling tired? Fatigue can affect your form. Keep your sessions short and focused if needed.
Helpful features & exercises
1. Personalize your Contraction Quality Meter
If your breathing affects the readings:
Go to Settings > Exercise Preferences > Contraction Quality Meter > Personalize your Contraction Quality Meter
This tool calibrates the contraction quality meter based on your unique breathing pressure (measured with a simple cough test).
Once personalized, it applies to all games. You can reset or turn it off anytime.
2. Try the "Breathing Floor" exercise
Available in the Exercises tab, this training helps you sync your breathing with your pelvic floor contractions.
3. Use the learning tools in the app
If you’re unsure what a “good” contraction feels like, spend some time in:
Kegel Coach
3D Pelvis
Picasso game
Practice Lab
All of these are in the Exercises tab and are designed to help you build awareness and confidence.
Final note
Building awareness of your pelvic floor muscles takes time and patience. Be kind to yourself — you're doing something truly great for your body! 💪🌸
