My symptoms are getting worse
Updated over 3 months ago

General note: If you have been training regularly and consistently for at least 3 months and have not seen much signs of improvement, we recommend you consult with a pelvic health professional.

My incontinence symptoms are getting worse

Reduce training time & frequency

If you are not seeing improvement with regular, consistent training, it may be because you are overdoing it. As your pelvic floor fatigues, it is less effective in retaining leaks.

Reduce your training sessions to 5 minutes, every 2 days, and observe whether this makes a difference.

Adjust your training setup

If you're holding your breath, using your abdominals, or training in challenging positions like standing up, your pelvic floor will have to work against extra pressure from the upper part of your body. This will bring muscle fatigue earlier.

Monitor your contraction quality with the contraction quality meter, think of your breath, and get back to a basic training position like lying down (Perifit Care original) or sitting (Perifit Care+).

Identify other root causes with your health specialist

While most cases of urinary incontinence are improved with regular pelvic floor exercise, there are other underlying factors that can cause incontinence symptoms. See a health professional to rule out other underlying issues.
