No strength in standing position
Updated over a year ago

YES! Training while standing up is a challenge.

When standing up, you will work against gravity and weight of the organs so it will take more effort to lift your pelvic floor.

What's more, we will have the natural tendency to use more intra-abdominal pressure to compensate for this required higher pelvic floor strength and to "suck in" Perifit Care.

But it will come with training, we promise! The important thing to keep in mind is that:

  • Being able to train while standing up is a good target, especially for the ones that have incontinence symptoms in the daily life while standing up (running, jumping, picking up your child...)

  • BUT is not the starting point! The starting point would be to train while laying down which will be easier to take the first steps toward strengthening your pelvic floor. Once ready, move on to standing up!
