I have muscle pain after training
I have muscle pain after training
Updated over a week ago

No worries, muscle pain does not necessarily mean that something is going wrong but might be due to:

  • Your pelvic floor muscles getting back to training! Just like any muscle group, your pelvic floor can feel sore after training because it’s been a long time or because you trained for too long. Remember to:

    • Keep training short and effective: no more than 10-15 minutes per session, no more than 45-50 minutes a week.

    • Take breaks! A daybreak between 2 training is a good idea. The pelvic floor muscles fatigue pretty quickly.

  • You were in an unstable position during training: are you laying on your sofa or bed? Is the surface stable or requires twisting of your body?

  • You used a bit too much intra-abdominal pressure during training. How is your contraction quality? If it’s lower than 90%, it means that you are involving your abs during pelvic floor contractions. You can monitor this by using the Kegel Coach offered in the Train section of the app. Try to maintain the red line as low as possible!
