Have you found that despite your efforts to contract your pelvic floor muscles during Perifit training, the character on-screen doesn't seem to move as expected? It can be frustrating when you're putting in the effort but not seeing the desired response from the character.
Primary Checks
This issue is often related to body and probe positioning or movement, and there are simple steps you can try to improve accuracy. See this article for more guidance.
Other causes
This issue can also occur due to other reasons:
If your contraction is too light, it can lead to the character's unresponsiveness.
If you're using the wrong muscles to contract, the character won’t react. Remember, the character is controlled by the bottom sensor (pelvic contractions), not by the upper sensor (abdominals, buttocks, nearby organ, deep breathing…).
Solution
There are steps you can take to address this issue and ensure that your training sessions are effective:
Recalibrate. Pelvic muscles fatigue quickly, which is why we recommend recalibrating regularly throughout your session so that the games remain doable and adapted to your strength of the moment.
Take the time to focus on performing good quality Kegels, ensuring that you're engaging the correct muscles with each contraction. You can use the Kegel Coach in the Exercises tab to refine your technique.
If you're still encountering issues, consider taking a break from training to allow your pelvic floor muscles to rest and recover. Overtraining can sometimes lead to fatigue, impacting your ability to perform effective contractions.
By following these steps and addressing any potential issues with your training technique or device placement, you can ensure that your pelvic floor exercises are effective and that you see the desired response from the character on-screen.
