It can be frustrating when the on-screen character doesn’t respond as expected to your contractions or relaxation. The good news is that this issue is often related to body and probe positioning or movement, and there are simple steps you can try to improve accuracy.
1. Check your training position
Body and probe positioning are the most common causes of inaccurate readings.
Perifit Care: Train lying flat on your back, on a firm surface, with your legs slightly bent.
Perifit Care+: Train seated upright on a hard chair.
These are our recommended training positions, as they usually provide the most stable readings. Try a few sessions this way to see if it resolves the issue.
2. Check for probe movement
If the probe slips inward or outward during training, it can affect readings. This isn’t always noticeable but can have an impact.
Perifit Care & Care+ (slipping out):
It’s important to determine the cause as different causes will have different solutions. See this article for more guidance. We recommend trying all applicable hypotheses one at a time and proceeding by elimination.Perifit Care+ (slipping inwards):
Use the blocker included with your order. This small piece attaches to the probe's tail to help keep it and the readings stable. See this article for instructions on how to use it.
If you didn't receive a blocker, reach out to our support team via the ? button in the app and we’ll send you one free of charge.
3. Compare what you feel vs. what you see
Consider what the character does on screen vs what you feel you are doing and check the article that best matches your situation:
