Find out how you can take the steps on your own to ensure that the display image on Facebook is updated (Facebook cache).

How can I change the display image for my ad on Facebook or another social media platform?

  • Click on the funnel where you want to change your display image.

  • Now click on Settings (gear icon, top right) and then on Social Preview.

  • To upload your new image, click on the upload cloud next to the ‘Preview Image section’. (Optimal dimensions: 1200x630, max. 2 MB)

  • In the top right corner, click on "publish changes", and do the same again in the middle of the new page.

  • Note that it may take up to 30 minutes for your image to be updated in the Facebook ad, provided that the link has already been shared on Facebook.
    Additional information:

    The same process applies to your public title (description of your tab) and the respective description.

Help! My new display image of the Facebook ad doesn’t change. What can I do?

Step 1:

In general, we recommend clearing your browser cache once. Note that this process will only update old content and not delete any of your funnel data.

Unfortunately, clearing my cache didn’t help. Anything else I can do now?

Sometimes your image still stays the same which can be related to Facebook’s own cache. In this case, you would have to contact Facebook’s customer service team. However, there is a way for you to avoid waiting for a resolution from the Facebook team.

Here is how it works: Facebook created a page where you can perform your link’s cleanup on your own.

Simply follow the steps below:

  • Open the "Update Ad Now" button below and follow the steps on the page.

  • Click on "Sign in" and log in using your Facebook login details.

  • Afterwards, copy your funnel’s published link into the field and click on "Troubleshooting".
