Why does card binding fail?
When you are unable to successfully bind your Pionex Card, it usually means that the binding request was declined during the verification process by the bank, card issuer, or the merchant payment network.
If you encounter issues when adding your Pionex Card to a digital wallet or third-party platform, please refer to the relevant section below for troubleshooting.
Apple Pay
Cannot Add Card” / “Card Could Not Be Added
This is usually caused by Apple’s risk detection system, which may block the device rather than the card itself.
Try adding the card on another device
If you only have one device, wait 24–72 hours and try again
Manually add the card in the Apple Wallet app by entering the card details
SMS or Email Verification Not Received (Mastercard only)
A one-time verification code is required when binding a Mastercard to Apple Pay.
Ensure your phone number and email in the Pionex App are correct
Check your email spam or junk folder
Wait a few minutes and request the code again
Card Previously Added but Suddenly Not Working
After device reset or iOS update, the card may be automatically removed from Apple Pay.
Check whether the Pionex Card still appears in Apple Wallet
If removed, re-add it via the Pionex App or Apple Wallet manually
If none of the above works, please contact Pionex Support and provide the approximate time of the binding attempt.

Other Platforms (Grab, Gojek, Discord, Trip.com, etc.)
Card Declined During Binding
Ensure all card details (card number, expiry date, cardholder name) are entered correctly
Check whether there is any authorization request in the Pionex App or SMS verification code
If the platform shows “card not supported” and there is no transaction record in Pionex Card history, it usually means the merchant does not support this card
Trip.com: Try using Apple Pay or Google Pay as an alternative payment method.
Unable to Add Your Card Directly to the Apple Store or Subscription Platforms
Due to differences in merchant payment mechanisms, some platforms (such as the Apple Store, Steam, etc.) require the account's country/region to match the issuing region of your Pionex Card. Otherwise, you may not be able to add the card by manually entering the card details.
If you encounter this situation, we recommend the following:
First, add your Pionex Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Change your platform account's country/region to match the issuing region of your Pionex Card.
Select Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another supported digital wallet as your payment method during checkout.
