Generate a Proposal

How to generate a proposal by adding a new record

The Proposals app is great for leveraging information stored in your table to populate variable components of Word documents. In a few simple steps, you can push data from a record in a table to an existing Proposals template.

1.

Open the table storing your proposal data

2.

Click New record

3.

Populate all applicable fields in the record

Reference Field Notes

  • Reference fields are fields that prompt you to search for a result and have a relationship with another table. If your table does not return a result, you can click "new record" to create a new record to then select.

  • You can refine the records available by clicking one of your pre-created views. This will automatically apply the filters associated with that view, to the list of records displayed.

  • You can open up a referenced record directly, when creating a new record, by clicking on the field. A new pop up will appear, showing the data associated with that record.

  • If you reference a record in a reference or reference multiple field, that is not accessible in that table's default view, you will receive an error when exporting via the Slides and Proposals apps.

4.

Once all fields are populated, click Save

5.

Select the record you created

6.

Open the Proposals app

7.

Click Export on the template that aligns with the desired style and features from the side panel
