Review and Revert Changes to Records
The Record Revision Manager feature allows users to view a historical 52-week timeline of changes made to any record, including details on what, when, and by whom the changes occurred. You can also restore fields to previous values if needed.
Permissions Needed
Admin or Write permissions are required to revert fields to previous values. All user types will be able to see revision information.
Accessing the Record Revision Timeline
Open the Record: Navigate to the desired record within your table.
Locate the Timeline: The timeline is displayed at the top of the screen, represented as a series of blocks.
Purple blocks indicate weeks when changes were made to the record. As the number of changes increase, the shade of purple deepens (similar to a heat map).
Green blocks indicate that you are currently viewing a historical version of the record from that particular week.
Viewing the History of Changes
Click on any purple block to see a list of changes made during that week.
You’ll see detailed information, including the date, time, and the user who made each change.
Click on a specific change entry to view the record as it existed at that point in time, at which point the week indicator will turn green.
Restoring Fields to a Previous State
Once you have selected a change from the timeline, you can restore individual fields to their previous values.
Toggle the switch next to the highlighted field(s) you want to restore.
Click Restore Fields to confirm and apply the changes to your record.
Tip: If you change your mind, you can click Return to Current View at any time to discard the restoration and return to the most recent version of the record.
