How to apply bulk edits to selected records using Update All

Easily make bulk updates to your data using the Update All operation. This feature allows users to simultaneously apply an edit to several or all records in a view. The Update All icon will appear once multiple records are selected and you double click into a field to edit.

1.

Choose your array of data by filtering, applying a saved view or manually selecting your desired records

2.

Confirm all records in the view are selected

3.

In the table, double click into a field cell you wish to edit and enter/apply the desired value

4.

To apply to all selected records, click the clipboard icon > Update selected records

Next Generation- Update All_Image 2

5.

From the pop up window, click OK

Please Note: The Update All operation is final and cannot be undone.

All selected rows will display the updated field value within the table. If an update was applied to more than 100 records, you will receive an email when the update completes successfully or if there are any errors.

Upon selecting records, some field type inputs, such as dropdowns or single references, which would normally close and save immediately after selecting an option, remain open to allow the user to apply the Update All feature prior to clicking elsewhere in the table to save the field.

For example: A user has selected Industry Area B after selecting two records. This Industry Area will not immediately save to allow the user to Update All records prior to clicking elsewhere in the table.

Use the escape key to cancel the selection or simply click elsewhere to update the single record. When multiple records are not selected, dropdown and single reference fields will behave normally and save immediately after selecting a value.
