How to Activate Your Club Shop and Receive Payments

A step-by-step guide to connecting your bank account and enabling online payments for your club.

Activating your Club Shop on PLAI is an essential step to enable online payments, manage transactions, and streamline your club’s finances. Follow this step-by-step guide to connect your bank account through Stripe and start accepting payments securely.


🔐 If Your Club Already Has a Stripe Account

  1. Open PLAI, go to your Team Page, and swipe across to the Shop tab.

  2. Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon within your Shop tab and select Connect Bank Account.

  3. Tap + Connect Stripe at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Enter your Stripe login credentials when prompted. You may be asked to verify your login via a 6-digit SMS code.

  5. If prompted, select your Club Address from the list (skip to Step 12), or choose Create a New Business (continue to Step 6).

  6. Enter your Business Location (club location) and Type of Business (Individual/Sole Trader). Tap Continue.

  7. Provide your First Name, Surname, Email Address, Date of Birth, Home Address, and Phone Number, then tap Continue.

  8. If prompted, Verify with Photo ID (you can skip for now and upload later if preferred).

  9. Under Industry, select Other Membership Organisations. Add your Website and enter Community Sports Club as your Product Description, then tap Continue.

  10. Enter your Bank Account Information and tap Continue.

  11. Add your Club Name as the Statement Descriptor and an optional shortened version. Include a Customer Support Phone Number and choose whether to display it on receipts.

  12. Review all information, resolve any red boxes, and tap Agree and Submit.


🆕 If Your Club Does Not Have a Stripe Account

  1. Open PLAI, go to your Team Page, and swipe across to the Shop tab.

  2. Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon and select Connect Bank Account.

  3. Tap + Connect Stripe at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Enter your Email Address and Create a Password when prompted. You may need to verify via SMS.

  5. Select Create a New Business.

  6. Enter your Business Location (club location) and Type of Business (Individual/Sole Trader). Tap Continue.

  7. Provide your First Name, Surname, Email Address, Date of Birth, Home Address, and Phone Number, then tap Continue.

  8. If prompted, Verify with Photo ID (optional at this stage).

  9. Under Industry, select Other Membership Organisations. Add your Website and enter Community Sports Club as your Product Description, then tap Continue.

  10. Enter your Bank Account Information and tap Continue.

  11. Add your Club Name as the Statement Descriptor and an optional shortened version. Include a Customer Support Phone Number and choose whether to display it on receipts.

  12. Review all information, resolve any red boxes, and tap Agree and Submit.


❓ If You’re Unsure Whether You Have a Stripe Account

Follow the same steps as above under If Your Club Does Not Have a Stripe Account. Stripe will automatically detect if your email address is already associated with an existing account and guide you accordingly.


🎉 You’re All Set!

Once submitted, your Club Shop will be activated and ready to accept online payments through PLAI. You can now manage transactions, view payouts, and track sales directly from your Shop tab.
