Understanding Shop Item Fees on PLAI

Learn how PLAI shop item fees are applied, including transaction costs and net amounts your club receives.

Updated over 4 months ago

When setting up a shop item, it may appear that to charge £15, you need to input £14.50. Here’s why (for UK pricing):

PLAI automatically adds a 50p transaction fee at checkout. This helps manage parent expectations and covers processing costs:

  • 20p → Stripe

  • 30p → PLAI

This means the program receives 95.6% of the listing price (£14.50 in this example).

    • 2.9% → PLAI

    • 1.5% → Stripe
